"Betsy Brawley knows her 'stuff'! When designing an adult day health center for our predominantly older population, many with Alzheimer's Disease, Betsy was able to articulate the philosophies behind the design process so well that I saw our architect and contractor transformed. They went from just designing and building a facility to planning an environment to enhance the lives of the people we serve. Betsy has a knack for making everyone want to be part of the team!"

Education and Presentations

As an author and internationally recognized expert and industry leader in environmental design for aging, speaking presentations and workshops confirm that well designed healthcare environments do make a difference.

Environmental Assessment

Many clients find an environmental assessment valuable to identify assets and problems, and prioritize problems for more effective design planning.

Planning & Programming

This is a time to work closely with clients and staff to develop detailed information about the size and use of spaces, how many people will use the space, and how these spaces relate to each other. Betsy will help you with critical and often overlooked detailed evaluations of activities and activity programs to insure activity spaces are effectively designed and detailed to maximize participation.

Interior Design

Betsy uses good design, space planning, knowledge of special products and finishes and the skill to turn your vision into a reality that supports healthy aging.

Plan Review

Review and critique of your plan is an opportunity to pick up missing details and improve on design solutions you have already planned, and ultimately determining if the design will function the way it should.

Therapeutic Garden Planning

Almost any outdoor space can be designed or modified for an inviting, friendly, successful garden – especially for persons with dementia. Good design, activity programs, and getting program staff engaged in beneficial outdoor activities that work increase opportunities for fresh air, sunshine, and exercise that improve health and quality of life.
